About Watermark
Watermark is the online platform the GSA uses to manage every grower and landowner's water account. This page explains what it is; the Watermark page shows you how to use it.
Your water account, online
Under the GSA’s reporting policies, growers and landowners with active wells are expected to report their pumping. Watermark is the platform that turns that reporting from paper forms and agency phone calls into a single digital account you can access anytime.
What’s in a Watermark account
- Your parcels and wells. Every parcel you own within the GSA boundary, with each registered well linked to it.
- Your current allocation. The water-year allocation for each parcel, calculated per the Pumping Cap Policy.
- Your reported usage.Pumping and metering data you’ve submitted, with a running total against your allocation.
- Upcoming reporting deadlines.Whenever a submission is due, Watermark shows the deadline and what ’s needed.
- History. Past reports, past allocations, and any adjustments stay on your account.
Who can see your data
Your account is yours. GSA staff see account data as part of the agency’s normal duties. Aggregate reporting (totals by subbasin, trends over time) is used in public reports; parcel-level detail is not routinely published.
Watermark is maintained by the GSA’s software provider with standard encrypted transport (HTTPS) and role-based access. For questions about what is or isn’t visible on your account, contact the GSA directly.
